Vrboska Cultural Summer Begins

The Vrboska Cultural Summer began on June 24 with the traditional St. Ivan Bonfire Night in front of the church fortress on a very warm evening. As the sun set over Vrboska, the event started with dancing by local children in traditional attire.

The children were followed by some traditional klapa music performed by Klapa Kastilac from the neighbouring village of Svirce, before the fire was lit.

Meanwhile, away from the church, tourists were able to enjoy spectacular views of the church lit up, as well as several sailboats which had moored in the harbour.
